This is a Fourth Amendment search case1 in which the defendant's grandmother gave the police consent to search the defendant's room in her home. The trial court found that the defendant "had exclusive control over his room" and held that the grandmother's consent "was unauthorized because defendant had exclusive control over his bedroom and had a reasonable subjective expectation...
