The appellant, Patricia Capdeville, was indicted by the Grand Jury for manslaughter, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:31. A twelve member jury returned a unanimous verdict of guilty as charged on October 17, 1982. The trial judge imposed a sentence of three years at hard labor plus two additional years in accordance with LSA-R.S. 14:95.2 for having used a firearm in the commission of the crime.
