This Louisiana diversity case stems from a bogus real estate mortgage granted some six years ago by one John Langford. By it he procured, among other things, the release of certain obligations owed the mortgagee bank by his mother, Eunice. Today, the mortgage cancelled and Langford a bankrupt, the bank seeks recovery on its blanket bond and the reinstatement of Langford's mother's obligations. The bank's appeal challenges the district court's denial...
