This suit for workmen's compensation benefits was instituted by Wiley Joseph Hayes against his employer, The Hammett Company, Inc., and its workmen's compensation insurance carrier, the Home Insurance Company. The trial court held that the plaintiff was totally disabled and entitled to workmen's compensation benefits plus 12% penalty on the amount of compensation withheld and attorney's fees.
