This is a patent infringement action by plaintiff Union Carbide Corporation ("Union Carbide") against defendant American Can Company ("American Can"), alleging infringement of United States Letters Patent Nos. 4,262,803 and 4,277,930. Defendant has challenged the validity of the patents as well as denying infringement. For brevity's sake, we will refer to the patents in question as the "803" patent...
