BEVILACQUA, Chief Justice.
The defendant, Thomas E. Perkins, was indicated by a grand jury on the 15th day of March, 1978. The indictment charged that he "did murder Cheryl A. Testa" in violation of G.L. 1956 (1969 Reenactment) § 11-23-1.
