Plaintiff1 is a West Virginia resident. In April, 1981, he was hired in West Virginia as an oil field "floor hand" by Pool Well Servicing Company (Pool) to work in Michigan. During the period relevant here Plaintiff was working on a well owned by Dow Chemical Company (Dow) pursuant to a contract between Pool and Dow.
