On September 5, 1980, defendant pled guilty to attempted larceny from a motor vehicle, MCL 750.92, 750.356a; MSA 28.287, 28.588(1). He was sentenced to three years probation, the first four months to be spent in jail. As a condition of probation, the defendant was forbidden from violating the criminal laws of any state, city or township.
