Defendant, Arthur C. Spikes, was charged with four (4) counts of aggravated rape in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42, and one (1) count of aggravated burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60. On July 20, 1982, a jury found defendant guilty on all counts. On each of the four (4) counts of aggravated rape, defendant was sentenced to serve at hard labor for the rest of his natural life.
