Plaintiffs-appellants Franklin C. and Edna C. Dean sued to recover the proceeds of a fire insurance policy issued by defendant-appellee Insurance Company of North America (INA) and punitive damages for INA's refusal to pay. The policy in question covered the Deans' northside Indianapolis home, which was substantially damaged by fire January 2, 1977.
