Defendant, Darnell Jerome Huntley, was charged by grand jury indictment with one count of first degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30. He was tried by jury and found guilty as charged on September 30, 1982. The district judge sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, suspension or commutation of sentence.
