This appeal arises out of a suit for damages caused by a fire at Peck's Steak House in New Orleans.

The plaintiffs are Helen McGee individually and as administratrix of the Estate of Percy McGee Sr., Ernestine Roux, Jake P. Schiele Jr., Louisiana Joint Underwriters of Audubon Insurance Company ("Audubon"), and Traveler's Insurance Insurance Co. ("Traveler's"), Robert A. Vaucresson and Maurice A. Fortin.
