This is an appeal from a conviction and sentence in the Nineteenth Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, finding appellant Joel K. Woods guilty of violation of LSA R.S. 14:65.1, purse snatching. Appellant was initially charged by bill of information with simple robbery, LSA R.S. 14:65, which was subsequently changed to the purse snatching charge. Mr. Woods entered a plea of not guilty and waived...
