Respondent, George Galbraith, was injured on August 1, 1971 when a piece of steel lodged in his left eye. That same day he sought medical treatment. He was unable to work for a period of five weeks and was paid temporary total disability benefits pursuant to our Workers' Compensation Act. On October 2, 1971, the object was surgically removed.
