James Wallace Weeks, Jr. was convicted in a jury trial of assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon. 18 U.S.C.A. §§ 111, 2. On appeal, he claims (1) the evidence is not sufficient to support the jury's finding of sanity at the time the crime was committed, (2) extrinsic evidence regarding stolen motor vehicles was improperly admitted, and (3) the court erred in reopening the evidence to allow the Government to introduce a document.
