Leonard Montegut was charged on January 28, 1982 with the crime of possession of heroin with intent to distribute. After hearings on defendant's motion to suppress the evidence on April 12, 1982 and motion to suppress the confession on April 29, 1982, the matter was tried before a jury on August 3 and 4, 1982.
