Appellant, James A. Ray (Ray), filed suit against Defelice Marine Contractors, Inc. individually and as a division of Gulf Fleet Marine Operations, Inc. (Defelice) for $2,100,000 in damages for a maritime injury resulting in the amputation of his left leg and disability of his right leg.
