PRYOR, Associate Judge:
Appellant, Wayne E. Sturdivant, initiated a defamation action in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia against appellee, Seaboard Service System, Ltd. The complaint alleged counts of both libel and slander arising from a written violation report, which appellee submitted to appellant's employer, Safeway Stores, Inc., and statements later made during an arbitration hearing.
