In 1979 Randy Joe Wireman (decedent) became a member of the Teamsters Union. Upon becoming a member of the union decedent was automatically covered by the union's group life insurance policy. Wireman died in 1980. As a result of a dispute over the proper beneficiary of his insurance proceeds, the insurance company paid the proceeds into court. Decedent's mother and the administratrix of his estate both brought suit claiming the insurance...
