On September 5, 1978, appellant, plaintiff in the trial court, suffered personal injuries as the result of a collision while a passenger in an automobile owned and operated by the defendant/appellee. An action to recover damages for the injuries sustained was commenced with the filing of a complaint on Tuesday, September 7, 1982, which alleged negligence on the part of appellee.
