This appeal arises from the confirmation of a default judgment. Plaintiff, P.B.C. Systems, Inc. sued L.A.D. Construction Company, Inc. (L.A.D.) and The Western Company of North America (Western) for $54,857.90 allegedly due and owing as a result of plaintiff's having furnished materials to L.A.D. for use in the construction of a barge owned by Western.
