On April 11, 1980, Glen Hanson died as the result of a stab wound he received during an incident in the parking lot of a bar in Iberville Parish. Jerry B. Pittman was arrested later that morning at his apartment in Baton Rouge and was subsequently indicted for second degree murder by a Grand Jury.
