SCHWARTZ, Chief Judge.

The state appeals from the suppression of Williams' tape-recorded and transcribed confession to the second-degree stabbing murder of Charles Leavy. The sole asserted basis for the ruling is that the police did not tell the defendant, and he was apparently not otherwise aware of the subject matter of their projected questioning when he formally executed the Miranda waiver form.
