Willie James Washington (Appellant) was convicted by a jury of the voluntary manslaughter of Victor Ray Wells, a detective in the Houston Police Department. The jury assessed seven years' imprisonment as punishment. In appealing the conviction, Appellant raises twelve grounds of error, but he does not challenge the sufficiency of the evidence.
