Robert Walker Jacobs (Jacobs) and Darrell Wayne Cummins (Cummins) were jointly tried before a court for burglary and theft. Jacobs was convicted of both counts, while Cummins was convicted of burglary. The charge of theft against Cummins was dismissed. Jacobs received a ten-year prison term on Count I, and a two-year term on Count II: both sentences were to run concurrently. Cummins received a ten-year prison sentence for burglary.
