Plaintiff Bowlin's, Inc. (Bowlin's) is a New Mexico corporation having ten retail outlets, seven of which sell gasoline. This suit arose when the auditing department at its Albuquerque headquarters determined that during a period from February 1, 1978 through May 15, 1979 there had been a shortage in gasoline deliveries made by defendants to its Bluewater outlet in the total value of $70,005.97.
