This is an appeal from a denial of a motion for a new trial based on newly discovered evidence by the Champaign County Court of Common Pleas.

Ernest Eugene Shepard, defendant-appellant, was convicted of three counts of aggravated murder on September 2, 1976.

On May 27, 1977, appellant filed a motion for a new trial based on newly discovered evidence. The Champaign County Court of Common Pleas rejected this motion on September 27, 1977...
