Appellant filed pro se a petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging the lawfulness of serving the remainder of his sentence after violating his District of Columbia parole.

The record reflects that the trial court in 1978 imposed a sixteen-month to four-year sentence upon appellant for unauthorized use of a vehicle and receiving stolen property. Such sentence would have been fully served in August 1981. In February 1979, he was released...
