This cause comes before the Court on the petition for writ of habeas corpus of William Lee Greer, filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254.

The Petitioner was charged with the offense of murder in 1978, and upon that charge entered his plea of guilty to voluntary manslaughter pursuant to a plea agreement approved by the trial court. The Petitioner was subsequently sentenced to serve twenty-years' imprisonment...
