Appellant Jerry Lowell Reis (Reis) appeals from his conviction for the offense of Attempted Murder in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) §§ 705-500 and 707-701.1 Reis raises the following points on appeal: 1) he was deprived of his constitutional right to effective assistance of counsel because, unknown to him, his attorney had prior and current professional relationships with certain prosecution witnesses...
