Defendant, Larry Turner, was charged by bill of information with attempted second degree murder in violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and 30.1. After a jury trial, the responsive verdict of guilty of attempted manslaughter was returned. La.R.S. 14:27 and 31. The defendant was then charged as an habitual offender and pled guilty.
