This is an appeal from a murder conviction. Following a motion in limine hearing, the trial court ruled that defendant would be barred from making any arguments or presenting any evidence relating to the deceased's criminal record. We hold this was an abuse of the court's discretion, and reverse and remand for further proceedings.
