Defendant, Lawrence Bernard, was charged with distribution of phenmetrazine in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967. He pleaded not guilty, waived his right to trial by jury and elected trial by judge. After the presentation of the State's case, the defendant moved for a directed verdict based upon the defense of entrapment. The trial judge denied the motion and the defendant proceeded with his case. Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to serve a term...
