SINGLETON, Judge.

Billy J. Bidwell, was convicted of kidnapping Richard Washburn, intending to put Richard and Mary Washburn, Richard's mother, in apprehension that Richard would be subject to serious physical injury. AS 11.41.300(a)(1)(C). Bidwell was also convicted of assaulting Richard in the third degree, AS 11.41.220(a), (placing Richard in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument, i.e., a shotgun) and...
