The main issue on appeal is whether there was sufficient circumstantial evidence to support the conviction for murder and to exclude any reasonable hypothesis of accidental death or suicide.

The jury found that Bobby Templin caused the death of his wife, Rhonda Templin, by intentionally causing a "live barewire electric cord" to come in contact with her body while she was bathing or showering in their home at Roby, Fisher County, Texas...
