This is a negligence action arising out of the construction of a gymnasium at the St. Christopher's School (St. Christopher's) in Richmond, Virginia, in 1975. T.M. Graves Construction, Inc. (Graves) was the general contractor. Graves subcontracted a portion of the work to Weiler Thermospray Company (Weiler), whose job it was to apply a certain type of spray-on insulation to the ceiling and portions of the walls in the new gym.
