This appeal focuses upon the parol evidence rule and the law of contribution. Here, Anne McComb's parents lent $4,000 to be used as a down payment on a house purchased jointly by Anne and her then husband J.C. McComb, II. J.C. gave a note to Anne's parents which was signed solely by him. In the note he described the $4,000 as money lent to him. After the house was purchased, the McCombs' marriage failed. Prior to a divorce, J.C. repaid the $4,000...
