Testimony adduced at a disability hearing convinced an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) that plaintiff was "disabled", for a specific period of time, within the meaning of the Social Security Act. The Appeals Council, reviewing the ALJ's decision on its own motion, reversed and concluded that plaintiff was not legally disabled.
