Defendant, Otis Moore, was charged with one count of attempted first degree murder, in violation of La.R.S. 14:301 and 14:272. He had engaged in a "shoot-out" with police officers. Defendant plead guilty and was sentenced to serve eight years at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. In addition, he was sentenced to serve a consecutive sentence of two years...
