Robert Leagea (defendant) was charged by bill of information with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, in violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1. After trial by jury, defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to three years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence and to pay a fine of $1,000.00 or in default of payment thereof, to be confined in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for thirty...
