Brenda F. Jackson and her husband, Ernest Jackson, sued the Kroger Company (Kroger), and its insurer, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company (Fireman's Fund), for damages sustained when Mrs. Jackson was struck by cans which fell from a display in Kroger's Twelfth Street store in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
