Rebecca Strickland was killed in a Woodruff County vehicle accident on January 20, 1978. On December 22, 1980, her estate filed a lawsuit against: (1) Conrad Leon Smith, the driver of the car in which she was a passenger, the appellant here; (2) the owner of that car; and (3) Dale Edwards, the driver of the other vehicle, the appellee here.
