This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff, when the car he was driving was struck by a train owned by the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad and operated by Hilliard Marcev, the engineer. After a trial on the merits, judgment was rendered in favor of the plaintiff and against Public Belt Railroad in the amount of $266,954.24.
