McCORMICK, Justice.

Defendant Andrew Williams appeals from his conviction by jury and sentences for first-degree kidnapping and second-degree sexual abuse. The questions are whether the trial court erred in refusing to instruct the jury to disregard expressions of personal opinion by the prosecutor during final argument and whether defendant was denied effective assistance of counsel.
