Defendant-appellant John Greichunos appeals from the trial court's denial of his motion to dismiss an information charging him with arson. Greichunos maintains the five-year statute of limitations of IND. CODE 35-41-4-2(a), in force when the instant prosecution was begun, is applicable and asserts the information, filed nearly seven years after the alleged offense was committed, is untimely. The State, on the other hand, claims the limitations statute...
