Defendant, Glenn A. Hebert, was charged by bill of information with the crime of forcible rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1. On September 21, 1982, defendant's trial began before a twelve person jury. On September 23, 1982, after approximately an hour and forty minutes of deliberation, the jury reached a unanimous verdict of guilty as charged.
