L.V. Ardoin brought this suit against Audubon Insurance Company (hereafter Audubon), his alleged homeowner's insurer for fire loss, and against Dupuis Insurance Agency, Inc. (hereafter Dupuis) for its alleged negligence in failing to notify plaintiff of the cancellation of the Audubon policy until after the fire occurred.
