BOUTALL, Judge.

Defendant-appellant Ralph Tureaud appeals from a judgment refusing to nullify or grant new trial on a judgment taken against him in his absence, making executory a judgment for alimony arrearages. We set the judgment aside in part and remand for the reasons which follow.
