The defendant, Glenn Allen Hebert, was indicted for aggravated rape, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42. Defendant's jury trial resulted in a verdict of guilty as charged. The trial judge imposed the mandatory statutory penalty of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
