The defendant, Keith D. Dees, was charged with committing aggravated rape and aggravated crime against nature of a nine-year-old male child, in violation of La. R.S. 14:42 and 14:89.1.1 The defendant entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity to both charges.
